You do not only excel in your studies, succeed in your work and cruise in your respective lives, but you also deeply heart Lebanon. You do not only care about personal interests, academic issues or professional dilemmas, but you also offer time and donate passion for a sacred cause. You do not get dragged by the noise of the superficialities of your daily lives, but you link your minds and your souls to the real essence of existence through prayers, gatherings and charity work.

On Friday April 11th the Boston chapter of the Lebanese Kataeb party, had a and a dinner with Samy Gemayel, son of President Amine Gemayel. The event included speeches by Samy and various Kataeb official. In his speech Samy focused on the criticality of the situation in Lebanon, and stressed the importance the Lebanese Christians need to play now and in the future. Samy also stressed the importance of dialogue amongst the Lebanese people so that we may come to common grounds and resolve all the issues that are causing the rift between the various Lebanese political parties.

The participation of the Lebanese Forces in this event was great. Lebanese Forces supporters from all over Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Connecticut were present at the event. Also noted in the event was the participation of the Lebanese Forces students as they too came in from various New England states.

Overall the event was a great success. It gave the crowd a feeling of what was happening on the grounds in Lebanon within March 14 coalition and in particular within the Christians of March 14th. Also the Lebanese Forces Students had a chance to get to know one another, and ties were developed between the different student chapters.

The party was a real success for our office since we were able to gather more than 120 people knowing that this is the first party that we organize. We had never thought that the party could make such an impact on the young Lebanese society in Motreal. Every other Lebanese youth association was surprised how we were able to make our first party that successful.

This party was a great experience for us. It helped us in attracting new people to LF and in changing the wrong image that people have about us.

On Sunday, February 10, 2008, the LFSANA NE Pennsylvania chapter gathered in Easton, PA at Our Lady of Lebanon Maronite Catholic Church to celebrate a mass in the memory of all Lebanese Martyrs. Afterwards, we hosted a brunch in the social hall, where information about what we want to grow in this area was distributed. The gentlemen who made their way to Easton gathered at Queens Deli in Fogelsville, PA and discussed where we are and where we want to go with the organization in the area. Necessary steps were planned to allow for us to grow in Easton, including establishment of monthly meeting. On behalf of the LFSANA NE Pennsylvania Chapter, I’d like to thank all those that made it possible to make it to the mass and activities that followed especially Elie (NJ Chapter President), Mike , Fadi (NY Chapter) and his parents, Simon, Edgar, Wissam (President of LFSANA), and Rani (VP of LFSANA). We’d like to also thank Abouna Kamil Al-Chouifati for a beautiful mass. May God bless the members of the LFSANA who work hard to help this organization strive and move forward. Finally, this was a very successful 1st event and meeting for both LFSANA and the Lebanese Forces Chapter NE PA , and a great opportunity to meet and coordinate with members of other area Chapters. Our focus now is to grow both NE PA Chapters, spread the Lebanese Forces values, and play a positive role in our communities keeping focused on the Lebanese Forces ultimate goals and strive to achieve them.
